Meet Our Staff
Gina Lugo, CDA, RDA
Gina was trained at Lyon’s Institute, and Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has been in the dental field 30 years and with Dentistry With A Woman’s Touch 7 years.She enjoys building relationships with the patients and seeing them become more confident about their appearance and increase their knowledge of good oral health. She participates in continuing education to enhance her skills and grow in her knowledge of the dental field.
She has become an important part of the DWAWT team, and enjoys working with the staff and doctors. She is a single parent and her son will be attending medical school beginning in January. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and working around her house, where she has become a “jack of all trades!”
Maria Bittner, Registered Dental Hygienist
Maria received her Hygiene education through Middlesex Community College and graduated with her degree in 1983. She has been in the dental field for 28 years, of which 24 years have been with Dentistry With A Woman’s Touch. She brings the warmth of her smile, and knowledge she has gained over the years working with our many patients. Her gentle and caring approach has touched many of our patients. After raising two daughters, she is now enjoying the experience of being a grandmother, even though her friends tell her she’ll be “broke” after visiting all the baby stores. She also loves reading, and is trying out a Kindle, but still likes the feel of the book. In her spare time she also enjoys gardening and time with her husband, who is now a Grandpa!
Mary Carpenter, RDA
Mary trained at Dental Assisting Services and has been in the dental field since the late 80’s. She has worked for Dentistry With a Woman’s Touch for 10 years. Mary is a “people person” and enjoys laughing and humor with all of our patients. She states that what she enjoys the most about working in our office is the sense of teamwork, and the quality of dentistry that is provided to our patients.
She smiles and says that her grandson is the joy of her life and she enjoys the time spent with her family at the Jersey Shore. Her hobbies include crafts, knitting, traveling, reading and men (especially her 16 month old grandson!) She is fluent in Polish, and has family in Europe.
Julianne O’Brien, Front Desk Administrator
Julz attended Lyons Institute of Technology and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hackensack, NJ. She has been in the dental field for 27 years, and 4 years with Dentistry with a Woman’s Touch. She loves working in our office and strives to help us achieve the highest quality dental service. She brings to our team extensive knowledge of Dental Insurance and benefit plans and works with our patients to maximize their insurance to maintain their dental health. She brings a smile to patients with her humor, and is a “quick-study” of people and personalities. She and her husband are partners in a commercial fishing boat out of Barnegat Light. The boat is named “Julianne” for good luck. She has two Jack Russell Terriers which keep her entertained and busy. She makes homemade, organic soaps, and attends music festivals as often as possible.
Melanie Tillett, Scheduling Coordinator
Melanie is the youngest of our team, and attended Ocean County Vocational School for Dental Assisting and Radiology. She has been in the dental field for 2 years, and with us a little over a year. She enjoys contacting our patients with scheduling options, and appreciates working with people who truly care about our patients. She also has been trained as a Cosmetologist and brings a beautiful youthful style to our office. Perhaps she will become a famous “Skincare and Makeup” specialist in the future. In her time away from our office, she enjoys Yankee games, (met A-Rod after she was hit by a fly ball he hit!) loves the beach, (GTL…) and has the best luck in Atlantic City!
