One of the main reasons why people smoke is to relieve stress. Managing your levels of stress can be one of the most powerful tools in your fight to stop smoking. Instead of lighting up, try getting a relaxing massage, listening to calming music or do yoga.

If drinking makes you want a cigarette, try to stay away from alcohol.  If you enjoy having a smoke after a meal, try to replace it with gum or a healthy snack.
